[Alpha Biz= Kim Sangjin] A defamation lawsuit filed by former Adore employee A against Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of Adore, has ended in failure to reach a settlement.

On Monday, Judge Lee Gyun-boo of the Seoul Western District Court held a mediation session for A's lawsuit against Min, which was centered on a claim for damages due to defamation.

According to A's lawyer, A's side was willing to settle if Min admitted her mistakes and apologized. However, Min's side refused to acknowledge A's claims, stating, "We cannot accept A’s allegations," leading to the failure of the mediation. As a result, the case will now proceed to a formal trial.

A alleges that during their time at Adore, they were subjected to harassment and sexual harassment by a male executive, B. A also accuses Min of actively protecting B and humiliating A. A took issue with Min publicly sharing their personal KakaoTalk conversation on Instagram as well.

Min has denied A’s allegations, stating they are false. Min further argued that A had caused various disruptions during their tenure at Adore, and expressed suspicion that A was unfairly involving Min in the controversy, despite Min not being directly involved during the tense period between Hybe and Min.

In August of last year, A filed a police complaint against Min, accusing her of violating labor and personal data protection laws, and also sued Min for 100 million KRW in damages.
