[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] KT CEO Kim Young-seop is set to personally explain the purpose and operational plans behind the establishment of KT’s new network management subsidiaries to employees. According to KT, Kim will hold a "CEO Special Dialogue" on November 4 at 8:30 a.m., where he will outline the background and future plans for the subsidiaries, KT Netcore and KT P&M. The session will be broadcast internally for all employees.

A Q&A session will also be held, allowing employees to ask questions freely. This may address ongoing concerns that some senior executives and managers have pressured employees to transfer to the new subsidiaries.

Previously, on October 15, KT’s board approved a workforce reallocation plan that includes the creation of KT OSP (now renamed KT Netcore) and KT P&M. KT Netcore will handle the design, construction, and maintenance of network infrastructure, while KT P&M will oversee power facilities at telecommunications centers and manage wireless communication for ships and remote areas.

The deadline for applications to transfer to the subsidiaries, originally set for October 28, has been extended to November 4. KT’s second labor union, KT New Labor Union, attributes the extension to lower-than-expected transfer applications.
