[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] On the 26th, HD Hyundai Electric announced the completion of a specialized storage facility for power transformers adjacent to their production plant in Alabama, USA. The new storage facility spans 12,690 square meters and can hold up to 60 finished transformers. The company stated, "By moving completed transformers directly to the storage facility, production efficiency has increased, and costs have been reduced as there is no need to transport them to an external storage site."
HD Hyundai Electric is also expanding its domestic transformer production facilities. The expansion of the Ulsan transformer plant is scheduled to be completed this month. Additionally, a new factory for transformer cores is being constructed within the Ulsan complex, with a target completion date at the end of October. These projects are expected to increase annual sales by 220 billion won. Jo Seok, President of HD Hyundai Electric, commented, "We will enhance customer satisfaction by responding flexibly to the demand for transformers."
