[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] The comedy film Pilot, starring Jung So-min, surpassed 1 million viewers on the 4th day of its release, according to Lotte Entertainment, the film's distributor, on the 3rd.
The film, which attracted 370,000 viewers on its opening day, has reached the milestone of 1 million viewers faster than any other Korean film released this summer. As of 9 AM on the 3rd, Pilot's reservation rate was 32.8%, with approximately 191,000 tickets booked.
The second-highest reservation rate is held by Deadpool and Wolverine, with a reservation rate of 10.9% and around 63,000 tickets booked.
Directed by Kim Han-kyul, Pilot tells the story of a successful airline pilot, Han Jeong-woo (played by Jung So-min), who loses his job overnight and faces difficulties finding new employment. To secure a job again, he disguises himself as his younger sister, leading to a series of comedic events. The film features Jung So-min's witty and humorous performance as Han Jeong-woo navigating life in disguise.
