[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] On the 27th, the aviation industry reported that Air Premia is selling one-way tickets from Incheon to Narita, Japan, for as low as 75,800 KRW, including fuel surcharges, during the Chuseok holiday period.

Additionally, one-way premium economy tickets from Incheon to San Francisco, USA, are priced starting at 780,300 KRW. The discount period is set from September to November. An aviation industry insider commented, "It's unusual for airlines to launch large-scale promotions during the high-demand Chuseok season."

Meanwhile, T'way Air is accepting applications for unpaid leave from its cabin crew. The airline had hired new cabin crew three times this year, citing increased traveler numbers and the launch of European routes. However, with aircraft deliveries delayed and travel demand not meeting expectations, the airline decided to accept unpaid leave applications. Alongside this, T'way Air launched an ultra-low fare event on the 26th, offering one-way tickets from Incheon to Paris for 323,200 KRW.

Low-cost carriers (LCCs) are working to boost travel demand by exploring new routes and enhancing their marketing efforts. Eastar Jet announced that it would be the first domestic airline to launch a route to Tokushima, a small city in Japan, by the end of the year. Jeju Air signed a business agreement with the professional soccer team Jeju United and plans to run promotions for game spectators.

Air Busan has partnered with BEXCO in Busan to strengthen cooperation related to Busan tourism. Additionally, Eastar Jet is targeting baseball fans in their 20s and 30s with a joint marketing campaign with the Doosan Bears.
