[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] Korea Financial Group has hired Yang Tae-won, a former vice president of the world's largest asset management company, to strengthen its global investment competitiveness.
According to the financial investment industry on the 25th, Korea Financial Group conducted an reorganization to establish an investment management office this month and appointed Yang as the head of the department.
The investment management office is expected to strengthen Hantu Group's global investment and oversee investment management, which has been distributed among various organizations.
Yang served as head of Merrill Lynch's applied research division and director of risk management for Black Rock bonds. After joining Samsung Life Insurance in 2014, he served as executive director of the Strategic Investment Division and Asset PF Management Team. After that, he moved to Samsung Asset Management and served as vice president of strategic investment.
An official at Korea Investment & Securities said, "Vice President Yang Tae-won will be newly recruited to oversee investment-related work."
