[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] KB Kookmin Bank's MVNO phone service 'Liiv Mobile (Liiv M)' raises rates more than small and medium-sized companies. However, the existing customer's plan will remain the same and we plan to apply the new plan first.
According to the financial sector on the 16th, Kookmin Bank reported the Liiv M to the Financial Services Commission as a subsidiary business under the Banking Act on the 5th of this month and reported that the plan price policy will be set at more than 90% of the network wholesale price.
Since its launch in 2019, Liiv M has been popular with 420,000 users so far. Liiv M has introduced a monthly plan of 22,000 won (basic data LTE 11GB) as its flagship product to secure price competitiveness in the MVNO phone market.
Meanwhile, as Liiv M is officially designated as a subsidiary business of the bank, the banking sector is actively entering the MVNO phone business.
