[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Jeju Air to Reduce Approximately 1,878 Domestic and International Flights in Q1
Jeju Air announced on Wednesday that it would reduce a total of 1,878 flights on international and domestic routes by the end of March during the winter schedule period.
The international routes will see a total reduction of 1,040 flights.
In Japan, the airline will cut 344 flights on five routes, including Incheon–Narita, Incheon–Osaka, Incheon–Fukuoka, Incheon–Sapporo, and Busan–Narita. In Southeast Asia, 326 flights will be reduced on routes such as Incheon–Danang, Incheon–Bangkok, and Incheon–Bohol.
For Oceania routes, Jeju Air plans to reduce 136 flights on the Incheon–Guam and Busan–Saipan routes. Additionally, 234 flights will be reduced on China-bound routes, including Incheon/Jeju–Hong Kong and Busan–Kaohsiung.
For domestic routes, the airline will cut 838 flights across four routes: Gimpo, Busan, Cheongju, and Muan to Jeju.
Jeju Air also plans to announce an additional reduction of around 30 flights.
The company stated, “For flights that are canceled, we will strive to minimize passenger inconvenience by offering schedule changes to adjacent flights or issuing refunds.”
