OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle to Launch Multi-Billion Dollar Joint Venture "Stargate"

[Alpha Biz= Kim Sangjin] OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle Plan to Establish a Multi-Billion Dollar Joint Venture
 

 

According to a CBS report on January 21 (local time), OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle are planning to form a joint venture called Stargate, with an initial investment of $100 billion. 

 

The three companies plan to invest up to $500 billion over the next four years into Stargate, which will focus on AI infrastructure. The venture will start with a data center project in Texas and expand to other states. 

 

While other investors are expected to join, specific details on additional investors have not been confirmed. 

 

The announcement is expected to be made later in the day by SoftBank's Masayoshi Son, OpenAI's Sam Altman, and Oracle's Larry Ellison, as they visit the White House, with President Donald Trump set to make a related announcement.
