[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] NVIDIA's stock closed at $135.58, up 3.51% from the previous session. Starting the day at $131.14, the stock rose to a record high of $136.33 (up 4.08%) at one point during trading.

At the close, NVIDIA's market capitalization was approximately $3.335 trillion, surpassing Microsoft ($3.317 trillion) and Apple ($3.285 trillion) to take the top spot.

This marks the first time NVIDIA has overtaken both Microsoft and Apple in terms of market capitalization.

On the same day, Microsoft’s stock fell by 0.45%, and Apple’s stock declined by 1.10%.

Previously, on June 6, NVIDIA had climbed to the second spot by market capitalization, surpassing Apple, but had fallen back to third place after a slight drop in its stock price.

Microsoft had taken the top spot from Apple in January of this year. However, on June 10, after Apple announced its AI strategy, Apple’s stock rose, reclaiming the top position by the close of trading on June 13.

NVIDIA’s stock has risen by 174% since the beginning of the year.

In light of this performance, Wall Street analysts have revised their price targets for NVIDIA upward. According to Bloomberg, Rosenblatt Securities analyst Hans Mosemann raised his price target for NVIDIA from $140 to $200, which is 47% higher than the closing price on the day of the announcement.
