[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] On August 22, the small shareholders' advocacy platform ACT submitted injunction requests to the Suwon District Court Seongnam Branch and the Changwon District Court. The requests aim to obtain access to shareholder registries of Doosan Enerbility and Doosan Bobcat in preparation for the upcoming extraordinary general meetings (EGM) on September 25.

ACT claims that despite making two requests for access to the shareholder registries, both companies have effectively denied the requests.

Last month, Doosan Group announced a plan to transfer Doosan Bobcat’s 46% stake held by Doosan Enerbility, along with the 54% held by public shareholders, to Doosan Robotics, making it a 100% subsidiary. In return, Doosan Bobcat shareholders would receive shares of Doosan Robotics.

This proposal has sparked significant backlash among small shareholders. They argue that they would end up with shares in the loss-making Doosan Robotics while Doosan Enerbility would be separating from the profitable Doosan Bobcat, leading to dissatisfaction and protests among the affected shareholders.
