[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Kiwoom Securities has relocated its headquarters to the newly constructed TP Tower in Yeouido. The TP Tower, which opened in May after the redevelopment of the former Saemul Pension Building, is a 220-meter tall mixed-use building directly connected to Yeouido Station on Seoul Metro Lines 5 and 9.
The move marks a return to Yeouido for Kiwoom Securities, which has been based in Yeouido since September 2014. The company will lease the TP Tower for approximately four years while its previous headquarters, Kiwoom Finance Square, undergoes reconstruction.
The relocation process began last month with the Research Center moving first, and the main office relocation was completed on July 21. The office space occupies floors 3 through 10, with the Sales Department on the 4th floor, featuring private consultation areas and comfortable waiting spaces for client convenience.
Kiwoom’s affiliated companies, including Kiwoom Investment and Kiwoom Private Equity (PE), have also moved to the TP Tower, occupying the 10th floor. Kiwoom Investment Asset Management is located on the 11th and 12th floors.
The new headquarters includes collaborative and relaxation areas, such as an in-house café with an outdoor terrace on the 4th floor and various sizes of meeting rooms and training spaces.
