[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] Tesla Korea, the South Korean subsidiary of the American electric vehicle brand Tesla, disclosed the battery manufacturers for its vehicles in a report submitted to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport on the 16th.

According to the information on the "EV Battery Manufacturers Status" page on the Ministry's vehicle recall center website, the batteries used in the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y are supplied by LG Energy Solution, Panasonic from Japan, and CATL from China. The Model X and Model S, however, only use batteries from Panasonic.

On the 13th, the government recommended that all manufacturers selling electric vehicles in South Korea disclose information about the batteries used in their vehicles. The vehicle recall center website and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority website are now providing consolidated information on electric vehicle batteries by manufacturer.

While most domestic and international automotive brands have shared their battery information on their websites, Tesla has not provided such details on its official website.
