[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] U.S. President Donald Trump is set to unveil a massive $70 billion (approximately 96.8 trillion KRW) investment plan in artificial intelligence (AI) and energy infrastructure.

According to Axios and other sources on July 14 (local time), President Trump will announce the initiative during the “1st Pennsylvania Energy Innovation Summit” at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh on July 15.

The investment package reportedly includes the construction of new data centers, expansion of power generation facilities, modernization of electric grid infrastructure, and the establishment of AI education and apprenticeship programs.

More than 60 CEOs from global AI and energy giants are expected to attend the event. Notable participants include ExxonMobil CEO Darren Woods, Chevron CEO Mike Wirth, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, Palantir CEO Alex Karp, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) CEO Matt Garman.

Senior Trump administration officials such as Treasury Secretary Scott Besant and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick will also be in attendance.

Among the key announcements, Jonathan Gray, President of Blackstone, is expected to reveal a $25 billion (approx. 34.6 trillion KRW) joint project in Northeastern Pennsylvania to build data centers and energy infrastructure. This initiative is projected to create 6,000 construction jobs and 3,000 permanent positions annually.

Senator Dave McCormick, a Republican and co-host of the summit, emphasized, “This $70 billion investment is the largest in Pennsylvania's history and represents an unprecedented level of job creation.”

This summit is part of Trump’s broader strategy to lead in AI and energy. Earlier this year, he announced a $100 billion AI data center investment initiative led by SoftBank, OpenAI, and Oracle.
