Former President Yoon Suk Yeol Sentenced to Life Imprisonment Over Martial Law Case

[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Yoon Suk Yeol was sentenced to life imprisonment on Wednesday after being convicted as the ringleader in a case related to the December 3 declaration of martial law.

The Criminal Division 25 of the Seoul Central District Court, presided over by Chief Judge Ji Gui-yeon, handed down the ruling during a first-instance sentencing hearing that began at 3:00 p.m. local time.

The court also sentenced former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun to 30 years in prison.
