[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] CJ CheilJedang, a leader in the local food industry, has joined hands with China's Alibaba Group's e-commerce company Ali Express.

From the afternoon of the 7th, CJ CheilJedang started selling popular products, including Hetbahn, Bibigo dumpling sets and Bibigo Sagol Gomtang, on Ali Express's "K Venue," a sales channel dedicated to Korean products. Ali Express has launched discounts of up to 50% on Haetban and Bibigo dumplings to mark the entry of CJ CheilJedang.

Earlier, Ali Express has partnered with CJ Korea Express to take charge of domestic delivery, which is expected to continue cooperation across CJ Group.

CJ CheilJedang has been at odds with Coupang, the nation's largest online platform, in unit price and has not sold its main products on Coupang channels since November 2022. Instead, it has launched a strategy to strengthen cooperation with Coupang competitors such as Naver and Shinsegae.
