[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Asiana Airlines, which is undergoing a merger process with Korean Air, will end its "mileage accumulation" partnership services with major accommodation platforms including Agoda, Booking.com, and Trip.com by the end of this month.

This marks the first time Asiana Airlines has terminated its mileage accumulation partnership with accommodation platforms, following its completion of similar agreements with credit card companies and hotels. With the upcoming review by the Fair Trade Commission regarding the conversion of mileage between Korean Air and Asiana Airlines, this move is seen as a significant step toward the integration of the two airlines.

According to the airline industry on May 12, Asiana Airlines officially announced on its website that it would end its mileage accumulation partnerships with Agoda, Booking.com, Trip.com, Rentalcars.com, Alamo, and National.

Previously, through its website, Asiana Airlines offered customers the opportunity to accumulate miles on hotel bookings made through platforms like Agoda, Booking.com, and Trip.com at a rate of 3 miles for every 1,000 KRW spent. Additionally, for car rental services from Rentalcars.com, Alamo, and National, customers could earn 5 miles per 1,000 KRW or up to 500 miles per transaction.
