[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Customers are experiencing inconvenience as financial transactions have been suspended due to errors in KB Kookmin Card's mobile app "KB Pay" server. Eight hours after the connection delay occurred at 1 p.m. on the same day, the app went dead again. Kookmin Card said it is currently checking and taking action.
According to Kookmin Card and customers on the 25th, a computer failure occurred in the KB Pay app at 8:50 p.m. and has not been recovered so far. When you access the KB Pay app, you only see the phrase "Please check the network status. If you click OK, the app will shut down," and you can't log in. Even if you log in, you can't use the service.
KB Pay customers also suffered a connection delay due to an increase in data volume around 1 p.m. on the same day. A connection error occurred again hours after the service was restored.
Regarding the cause of the server suspension, Kookmin Card said, "We have identified the cause and will recover soon," adding, "It seems that server overload is the cause."
