[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Naver Plus membership is expanding its alliance with various brands with nearly 10 million subscribers. It aims for a Lock-in effect with high partnership benefits and accumulation rates so that large customers can continue to utilize the service.
Recently, Naver Plus membership has been increasing collaboration with brands in various fields to enhance the service continuity of large users. The discount benefits are great because not only Naver membership subscribers but also brand companies can meet loyal membership users.
Naver Plus membership is a product that accumulates up to 5% of the payment amount as points in Naver Shopping, reservations, and webtoons for a monthly fee of 4,900 won. In June last year, two years after the launch of the service, the cumulative number of people exceeded 8 million, and recently, it is known that the cumulative number of people has reached 10 million.
Naver Plus membership has so far collaborated with more than 170 brands, including membership days and benefit partnerships. Naver is strengthening collaboration with brands because of user satisfaction.
A representative example is CU convenience store. Membership subscribers will receive accumulated and discounted benefits when they make on-site payments through Naver Pay, a simple payment at CU convenience stores.
Naver has decided to extend its promotion operation with CU convenience stores for another year due to high user response. In fact, as of the first half of last year, the number of on-site payments at CU convenience stores increased 3.2 times and the amount of on-site payments increased 3.4 times compared to before the partnership.
It also opened the Coupon of the Month for the first time this year. Naver membership members can purchase brand products with higher discount rates than usual as a monthly discount coupon for brand companies is curated.
