[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] SK Telecom (SKT) has sold its entire stake in LG HelloVision (037560), which it had held for about 9 years, to LG U+.

On the 14th, SK Telecom announced that it sold its entire 8.61% stake (approximately 6.67 million shares) in LG HelloVision to LG U+ through off-market transactions at a price of 3,089 won per share, totaling around 20.6 billion won.

SK Telecom acquired the 8.61% stake in LG HelloVision in November 2015 when it pursued the acquisition of CJ HelloVision. The capital invested at that time was 80.2 billion won.

Subsequently, in December 2019, LG U+ acquired a 50% stake in CJ HelloVision from CJ ENM, the major shareholder of CJ HelloVision, making CJ HelloVision a subsidiary of the LG Group.

With this stake acquisition, LG U+'s ownership of LG HelloVision has increased to 58.61%.
