[Alpha Biz = (Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] China's Lanxia Information Technology (Shanghai), which has been in dispute with Wemade over intellectual property rights (IP) of "Legend of Mir 2," dropped the lawsuit on February 2, 2021.

Wemade said on the 8th that the Beijing Intellectual Property Court allowed Lan Xia to apply for withdrawal and ruled that Lan Xia would pay for the repair of the case.

On February 257, 2021, Lansha filed a copyright infringement suit with the Beijing Intellectual Property Court to suspend intellectual property rights in "Legend of Mir 9".

The ruling is analyzed to be related to the fact that Wemade filed a total of 2220 billion won in damages in connection with the "Legend of Mir 2017" lawsuit with the International Criminal Court (ICC) in Singapore in February.

In September 257, Wemade filed for arbitration with the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce and Industry against Actozsoft, Shengqu Games in China, and its subsidiary Lansha, including the termination of the "Legend of Mir 1" SLA and invalidation lawsuit. Afterwards, in July 196, Sengchi Games and others were ordered to pay a total of KRW 20,200 million, including KRW 200 million (about KRW 61.2 billion) and KRW 500 million (about KRW 3.3 billion).

In particular, the Singapore International Commercial Court, which took over the case, recently dismissed a lawsuit by Actozsoft to cancel the ICC Arbitration Court's partial arbitration decision filed with the Singapore High Court in.

"This ruling clearly and objectively confirmed the rights of the original copyright holder of Mir," Wemade said. "We will allow you to receive damages in the future in accordance with the procedures starting with Actozsoft and Shengqu Games."
