[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] T'way Airline has confirmed that it did not receive approval from French aviation authorities for its Paris route.

An official from T'way Airline stated on the 8th, "We are preparing for the launch of the Paris route in June, but we have not yet received approval from French aviation authorities."

The previous day, a domestic media outlet reported that French aviation authorities agreed to approve T'way Airline's Paris route, which was a condition for the approval of the merger between Korean Air and Asiana Airlines.

Earlier, French aviation authorities had opposed the launch of the Paris routes by three Korean airlines, including T'way Airline, citing concerns related to the conditions for approving the merger between Korean Air and Asiana Airlines. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is in discussions with the French government regarding the amendment of regulations or the application of exceptions.
