[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] LS E-Mobility Solution, a subsidiary of LS Electric's electric vehicle parts, has surpassed 1 trillion won in accumulated orders by signing a large-scale supply contract with Hyundai Motor and Kia.

LS Electric announced on the 22nd that LS Mobility Solution has signed a contract to supply 'Electric Vehicle (EV) Relay (Relay)' worth 2,500 billion won.

The EV relay is a key safety component that protects the high-voltage system by transmitting battery current to the inverter in normal situations and blocking the current in the event of an abnormal current or fire.

This product will be supplied to Hyundai Motor and Kia from the first half of 2025.

"Hyundai Motor and Kia, the world's third-largest companies in auto sales, are speeding up their transition to electrification, the two companies are expected to become closer partners," said a representative for LS E-mobility Solution.

LS Mobility Solution has been supplying products to major finished cars around the world, including General Motors (GM), Renault, Daimler, Volkswagen, Volvo and Porsche.

To respond to the North American electric vehicle market, the company will complete the plant in Durango, Mexico, by the end of this year, and supply parts produced by the plant to customers from the second half of next year.
