[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Solus Advanced Materials announced on the 12th that it has installed drinking water purification facilities and 35 drinking fountains in three schools in Vietnam. It also delivered about 1,000 sets of hygiene kits including tumblers, school supplies and towels for students at the school in question.
The support project was funded by Solus Advanced Materials executives and companies in the form of matching grats. If executives and employees pay a certain amount of money from their monthly salaries as donations, the company will match the same amount one-on-one to create a social contribution fund.
"The project will allow more than 1,000 Vietnamese students to drink clean drinking water at school," said Seo Kwang-byeok, CEO of Solus Advanced Materials. "We will continue to do our best to strengthen ESG (environment, society, and governance) management and fulfill corporate social responsibilities through continuous social contribution activities."
