[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Krafton is gaining 2% of the market on the news that it will buy the Megabox headquarters building (Megabox Square) in Seongsu-dong.
As of 1:33 p.m. on the 14th, Krafton is trading at 155,200 won, up 2.11 percent from the previous day.
The news that Krafton is seeking to purchase the Megabox headquarters building in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul is believed to be driving the buying spree. The estimated purchase price is known to be 250 billion won.
The industry predicts that Krafton, which has aggressively bought real estate in Seongsu-dong, will not only relocate its headquarters in the future but also create a "Crafton Town" that utilizes its intellectual property rights (IP).
Since last year, when the real estate market peaked, real estate prices in Seongsu-dong have exceeded 200 million won per pyeong.
