[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Samsung Electronics will introduce 'Galaxy S23 FE (Pan Edition)', an entry-level smartphone product, as early as next month.
According to the electronics industry on the 19th, Samsung Electronics has delivered some overseas subsidiaries and partners that it will release the Galaxy S23 FE as early as next month. Samsung Electronics' Spanish subsidiary also recently added a new Galaxy S23 FE’ product to its Galaxy S series introduction on its website. It is the first time in two years that the FE model will be released since the Galaxy S21 FE’ in 2021.
FE shares the main features of the Galaxy S series, the flagship product of the Galaxy. However, the specifications of application processors (APs) and cameras, which are the 'brains of smartphones', are lower than those of the Galaxy S series. That's why the price is about 40% cheaper.
Samsung Electronics is planning to maintain its No. 1 position in the smartphone market with the Galaxy S23 FE.
According to market research firm TrendForce, Samsung Electronics shipped 53.9 million smartphones in the second quarter of this year, ranking first (19.8%). Apple ranks second with 42 million units (15.4%).
