[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] The Fair Trade Commission, which is investigating the collusion of sales incentives between SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus, said it will complete the investigation by the end of this year.

An official at the FTC's cartel investigation bureau, which is investigating the collusion of sales incentives by the three mobile carriers, said in a telephone interview with iNews 24 on the 22nd, "A number of factors could cause variables," adding, "We plan to complete the investigation into the violation of the law at least by the end of this year."

The Fair Trade Commission has been investigating the three mobile carriers' earlier maintenance of sales incentives to retailers at less than 300,000 won since February, viewing them as collusion.

In response, an FTC official said, "We will continue to communicate with the Korea Communications Commission if necessary."
