[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Hanwha Group officially launched 'Hanhwa Robotics', a robot company, targeting the robot market, which is the core food of the future.

In particular, Hanwha Hotel & Resort Strategy Division Director Kim Dong-sun (34), the third son of Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-yeon, is in charge of Hanwha Robotics' strategic planning division, which is expected to create synergy with the distribution sector.

According to Hanwha Group, Hanwha Robotics was established by separating cooperative robots, unmanned vehicles (AGV), and autonomous mobile robots (AMR) from the FA division of Hanwha Momentum. Hanwha Corp. owns 68% of the company's shares and Hanwha Hotel & Resort owns 32%. The new company aims to expand its lineup by developing applications for services that can respond to customers as well as industrial cooperative robots, which are existing major businesses.

We will also launch products that incorporate autonomous driving technologies such as construction management robots. It has also decided to spur the development of robots that can replace human resources in high-risk and manpower shortages such as the 3D industry.

Hanwha Robotics' ultimate goal is to enter the global market. As the global market in the robot sector, which is considered a high value-added industry in the future, is growing, the goal is to jump into competition in earnest in order to secure future food.

The first CEO of Hanwha Robotics is Seo Jong-hwi (51), former head of the FA division of Hanwha Momentum. He has served as the head of Hanwha AGV Robot Center and has contributed to the development of his own technology in the robot sector.
