[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] "Untrue rumors are spreading through YouTube," Lee Bok-hyun, head of the Financial Supervisory Service, said on the 15th. "We will strictly crack down and take action on acts that create market instability and unfair trade using them."

Director Lee said in an executive meeting of the Financial Supervisory Service, "Investors also need to decide whether to invest carefully without being deceived by groundless rumors through YouTube and SNS."

Regarding the improvement of the public sale system, he said, "We will cooperate with the Financial Services Commission to thoroughly correct the controversial 'tilted playground' and come up with measures to actively protect individual investors."

It also ordered the Financial Consumer Protection Agency, a people's livelihood-related organization of the Financial Supervisory Service, to be completely reorganized from the current damage prevention and rights protection system to respond to the violation of people's livelihoods and establish a fair market order.
