[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] On the 4th, SK Magic announced that it would expand its robot, healthcare, and pet care fields with a new rental business.
SK Magic improves profitability by managing rental customer data using AI along with new items. SK Magic has been reorganizing its business with profitability, minimizing unnecessary costs for six months since Kim took office. With the introduction of AI, the company plans to integrate customer data for each product such as water purifiers, kitchen appliances, massage chairs and bidets and support customized rental services that customers want by season and region.
As for AI, Encore, which was recently acquired by the parent company SK Networks, is expected to play a role. Encore is an AI-based data analysis and consulting company and has more than 500 customers in various industries. At the time of the acquisition, SK Networks expressed its intention to use Encore's AI solution for systematic management of subsidiary data such as SK Magic and SK Rent-a-Car.
The healthcare sector is expected to expand the rental of existing massage chairs. The move is aimed at responding to the recent trend of the massage chair market expanding from simple health aids to health diagnosis and treatment. Robot rental is under consideration for the B2B business, focusing on serving robots.
