Hanwha Aerospace has signed an additional export contract for K9 self-propelled howitzers worth 3.4474 trillion won to Poland

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Hanwha Aerospace succeeded in exporting additional K9 self-propelled howitzers, paving the way for Poland's second defense contract. The total volume is 152 doors, worth 3.4474 trillion won (about 2.6 billion dollars).

According to the Polish government on the 5th, the Polish military agency said on its website on the 1st (local time) that it has signed an export contract with Hanwha Aerospace for 152 K9 self-propelled howitzers. Hanwha Aerospace signed a basic contract with the Polish Military Agency in July last year to export 288 K9 672 doors and multiple rocket Cheonmu doors.

The first contract was signed for K9 212 gate in August last year and 218 Cheonmu gate in November. The contract is to supply 152 doors, which are part of the remaining K9 contracts (460 doors), sequentially by 2027 on the condition that financial contracts are concluded.

Under this contract, Hanwha Aerospace will supply Poland with K9 self-propelled artillery and self-contained 155mm ammunition and a comprehensive logistics support package (ILS) for maintenance and repair of the K9, and cooperate with local production of K9 maintenance parts.
