Kakao Pay, Hanon Systems, Samsung Securities, and Kangwon Land have been excluded from the MSCI Korea Index.

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] HD Hyundai Electric, Alteogen, and Enchem have been newly added to the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) Korea Index. Kakao Pay, Hanon Systems, Samsung Securities, and Kangwon Land have been excluded.

On the 14th (local time), MSCI announced changes to the index composition following its regular review. These changes will be reflected in the index as of the 31st, with effect from the 3rd of the following month.

The inclusion of HD Hyundai Electric, Alteogen, and Enchem in the MSCI Korea Index comes as these stocks have recently experienced sharp increases in their share prices. Analysts in the securities industry have forecasted that the inclusion of these stocks in the MSCI index will proceed smoothly.
