The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) confirmed to Bank of America on the 11th that reports related to EcoProBM, which were distributed around social networking services (SNS), were identified as false documents.
Recently, false reports about Ecoprobm have been posted on online communities and others. The title of the report was 'The Only Stocks on Earth Exceeding Performance'. The investment opinion of Ecoprobm was 'Underperform', and the target price was $ 1,870 (about 2,448,765 won).
Photos of false reports spread online, saying, "An analyst of Bank of America, who is well aware of the Korean situation, gave my opinion through a podcast. I chose ECOPROBM as a stock that would surpass NVIDIA's performance."
"Investors should decide whether to invest carefully without being deceived by groundless rumors through YouTube or SNS," a Financial Supervisory Service official said. "In addition, if they spread false information through SNS and induce transactions, they may be subject to criminal punishment."
