According to the Ministry of Employment and Labor on the 13th, worker A (42), who worked for a Samsung Display partner company in Sejong, died at 2:11 p.m. on the 8th.

The workplace is subject to the Severe Accident Punishment Act with more than 50 full-time workers.

As soon as it is aware of the accident, the Ministry of Employment and Labor said it will send labor supervisors to the scene to check the details of the accident and order them to suspend work to ensure workers' safety, promptly investigate the cause of the accident, and strictly investigate whether there are any violations of the Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Serious Property Act.

The Major Disaster Relief Act, which was implemented last year, requires the punishment of employers or business managers in the event of serious deaths of workers at workplaces with more than 50 full-time workers or a construction amount of more than 5 billion won.
