[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Hyundai Wia announced on the 21st that it will establish two production affiliates dedicated to manufacturing automotive modules and core parts in February next year.
Mobient, a module manufacturing affiliate, produces automotive chassis and platform modules, while Techgen, a component manufacturing affiliate, produces engines and speed joints. Hyundai Wia will operate with a 100% stake in the two companies. The number of employees is about 800 for Mobius and 1,500 for Techgen.
Hyundai Wia plans to build a flexible business environment and secure manufacturing expertise to respond to the rapidly changing mobility market environment. Problems related to the dispatch of subcontractor workers can also be solved.
