According to the industry on the 28th, SK Hynix recently reorganized its organization and established a NAND R & D organization in SK Hynix America. The new organization is SK Hynix NAND Development America, which will be in charge of developing next-generation technologies.
SK Hynix's American subsidiary has been based in San Jose, California, and has been in charge of sales and marketing, but has established an R & D organization to develop customized NAND solutions to meet the needs of local big tech companies. As a result, it is analyzed that SK Hynix will strengthen collaboration with Big Tech by making a new breakthrough in the on-device artificial intelligence (AI) market.
On-device AI is a device that collects and computes its own information on smartphones and PCs without an Internet connection, and the market is expected to open in earnest as related devices are about to be released.
