[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Seegene announced on the 15th that it had acquired 100% of the shares of Brex, a company specializing in SW (software) planning and UX/UI (user experience/user interface).

Brex, established in 2019, is a company with strengths in UX/UI-related planning and consulting. We have carried out various large-scale projects with Shinhan Bank, Shinhan Card, Coupang, E-Mart, etc.

Seegene, as an IT company that supports digital innovation, decided on this acquisition based on the judgment that it needs a reliable partner that can collaborate continuously like an internal organization. In the future, Brex will actively participate in various projects across the business, including new businesses, as well as projects for Seegene's digital transformation.

Seegene has been building various solutions internally, such as the Automated Reagent Development System (SGDDS) and the Disease Statistics Program (SG-STATS), and is achieving great results by applying various IT technologies to reagent technology in the bio field.

Meanwhile, as an independent corporation, Brex plans to steadily expand its independent business in addition to Seegene's digital innovation work.
