[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Hyundai Livart has secured its position as the leader in the furniture industry for the second consecutive quarter.

According to industry reports on August 12, Hyundai Livart recorded sales of 497 billion KRW and an operating profit of 8.2 billion KRW in the second quarter. This represents a 24.7% increase in sales and a 135.0% increase in operating profit compared to the same period last year. In comparison, Hanssem reported sales of 448 billion KRW and an operating profit of 7.1 billion KRW, with sales decreasing by 7.1% year-on-year, while operating profit surged by 478.3%.

Hyundai Livart has maintained its top position in the industry after surpassing Hanssem in the first quarter. Despite Hanssem's efforts, it has not yet regained its leading position.

Hanssem has been focusing on profitability, strengthening its margins through mid-to-high-end products and promotional activities. Meanwhile, Hyundai Livart has significantly boosted its sales by excelling in the B2B market, achieving over 1 trillion KRW in sales. In the second quarter, Hyundai Livart's B2B furniture segment grew by 55.3% year-on-year, while B2B built-in furniture sales increased by 86.1%.

For the first half of the year, Hyundai Livart achieved sales of 1.017 trillion KRW, successfully turning a profit. In contrast, Hanssem's sales amounted to 963.9 billion KRW, falling short of the 1 trillion KRW mark.

Hyundai Livart's strong B2B strategy has significantly contributed to the company's growth, solidifying its position as the leader in the furniture industry.
