[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] According to the Korea Exchange on the 23rd, EcoProBM closed at 248,000 won on the 22nd, down 10.95% (30,500 won) from the previous trading day (278,500 won). After opening the market at 273,500 won on the day, Ecoprobm continued to draw a downward curve and eventually ended the market at its lowest price in the market.

Ecoprobm is an event that was priced at 354,000 won on Dec. 4 last year, just over a month ago. Stock prices fell 29.94% in about 30 trading days. Ecoprobm surpassed 600,000 won (584,000 won on July 28) around July last year when the market was in full swing due to the trend of secondary batteries.

However, stock prices have been falling recently as securities firms have forecast poor performance one after another. On the previous day, Eugene Investment & Securities predicted that EcoproBM would record 1.4 trillion won in sales and 42.5 billion won in operating losses in the fourth quarter of 2023. Sales are expected to fall 28% year-on-year and operating profit will turn into a deficit.

On the same day, Samsung Securities also predicted that ECOPROBM's inventory valuation losses expanded due to a sharp drop in metal prices such as lithium and nickel and a drop in short-term demand, with its fourth-quarter sales of 1.5 trillion won and operating gains and losses, recording 49.1 billion won in losses.
