[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] CJ Logistics has completed the construction of a large cold chain logistics center with a size of 38 soccer fields in Gainsville, Georgia, USA.
According to the industry on the 29th, CJ Logistics America, a US subsidiary of CJ Korea Express, has completed a state-of-the-art refrigerated logistics center in Gainsville, Georgia. The Gainsville Refrigerator Center is 250,000 square meters, which amounts to 38 soccer fields. The facility is equipped with three separate storage warehouses, including finished food, bakery items and meat such as chicken. The refrigeration warehouse was manufactured by RL Cold, a local partner of CJ Logistics.
The Gainsville Refrigerator Center is considered a logistics hub due to its accessibility and transportation network. It can be delivered quickly across the United States by parallel with the Suffolk South Railway and road. The nearby northeastern inland port of Georgia is also currently under development and is expected to increase operational efficiency after completion. The Gainsville Refrigerator Center also has the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) office and food quality inspection office. Productivity can be improved by fast work.
CJ Korea Express aims to increase sales by developing the optimal logistics operation model to meet local food market demand.
