[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Virtual asset exchange Bithumb ends its free policy of virtual asset transaction fees.

It has been about five months since the first free commission policy of the Korean won exchange was announced in October last year.

Bithumb announced on the 2nd that it will apply a 0.04% fee to all virtual assets that support transactions from midnight on the 5th.

The changed Bithumb fee is 0.21 percentage points lower than Bithumb's previous transaction fee of 0.25 percent, and 0.16 percentage point lower than the industry's average fee of 0.2 percent. It is 0.01% lower than Upbit's transaction fee (0.05%), which is the lowest level in the existing industry.

The changed fee is automatically applied when the customer registers the fee coupon code. The expiration date of the fee coupon is 30 days from the registration date and can be re-registered when the expiration date expires.
