[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Kakao Pay will join hands with Samsung Pay to expand offline payments.
Previously, Naver Pay greatly increased the amount of on-site payments by linking Samsung Pay's payment method to its applications, and from the first half of this year, it will be able to use Samsung Pay payments using Kakao Pay.
In a conference call for the 2023 performance announcement of Kakao Pay on the 7th, CEO Shin Won-geun said, "Kakao Pay will be able to greatly expand offline payment coverage by linking Samsung Pay in April this year."
Following Naver Pay, Kakao Pay will link Samsung Pay in a similar form.
