[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Galaxy Corporation, the agency of singer G-Dragon, announced on the 21st that it has selected Daishin Securities Co. and Shinhan Investment & Securities Co. as co-chairmen of IPO (Initial Public Offering).
Galaxy is also operating in four areas: media, IP, commerce and tech, as well as AI Metaverse (virtual world) business. Recently, Netflix entertainment program 'Physical: 100 Season 2-Underground' was produced.
Galaxy attracted the attention of the entertainment industry by acquiring G-Dragon of the group Big Bang in December last year.
Choi Yong-ho, CEO of Galaxy, also accompanied President Yoon Seok-yeol on a state visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar in October last year and participated as the youngest businessman among economic delegations. Last month, it also appeared at the home appliance and IT exhibition 'CES 2024' in Las Vegas with G-Dragon.
A Galaxy official said, "It is difficult to disclose the time of listing or target market yet."
