Hong Won-sik, former chairman of Nam Yang Dairy, has filed a lawsuit demanding approximately 444 billion won in retirement benefits from the company.

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Former Nam Yang Dairy chairman Hong Won-sik, who stepped down from his managerial role, has filed a lawsuit against the company demanding approximately 444 billion won in retirement benefits.

On the 12th, Nam Yang Dairy announced that former chairman Hong filed a lawsuit for retirement benefits at the Seoul Central District Court on May 30th.

The claimed amount is 443,577,754,000 won, equivalent to 6.54% of the company's equity.

Hong, the son of the late Nam Yang Dairy founder Hong Doo-young, handed over management rights to Han and Company, a private equity fund, following a management dispute. This transfer occurred in January, pursuant to a Supreme Court ruling.

Both of Hong's children, Hong Jin-seok and Hong Beom-seok, resigned from the company last month, marking the complete disengagement of the owner family from Nam Yang Dairy.
