[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Chey Tae-won, Chairman of SK Group, met with Andy Jassy, CEO of Amazon, and Pat Gelsinger, CEO of Intel, in the US to discuss collaboration in AI and semiconductor technologies.

Last week, SK Group announced that Chairman Chey had a meeting with CEO Andy Jassy at Amazon's headquarters in Seattle. Jassy, known for his expertise in AI and cloud services, has been serving as CEO of Amazon since 2021, following his role as CEO of Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Additionally, Chairman Chey also met with CEO Gelsinger at Intel's headquarters in Santa Clara. The discussions focused on evaluating the partnership between SK hynix and Intel in semiconductor manufacturing and exploring ways to expand cooperation in advanced semiconductor production. SK hynix recently achieved a milestone by developing the world's first server DRAM 'DDR5 MCR DIMM' with speeds exceeding 8Gb per second, announced in December 2022.
