Foreign investors net purchased 22.9 trillion won worth of domestic stocks in the first half of the year.

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] In the first half of this year, foreign investors purchased a net total of 22.9 trillion KRW in listed Korean stocks, marking a record high for a half-year period.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service today (8th), foreign investors continued their net buying streak in stocks for eight consecutive months until last month. In June alone, they net purchased 2.898 trillion KRW worth of listed stocks (1.949 trillion KRW on the KOSPI and 949 billion KRW on the KOSDAQ), bringing their total holdings to 859.2 trillion KRW. This amount represents approximately 30% of the total market capitalization of the stock market.

On the other hand, foreign investors' bond investments turned into net sales last month.
