[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] Handsome, a fashion company under the Hyundai Department Store Group, saw its operating profit plummet by approximately 30% in the second quarter of this year.
According to data from the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system, Handsome's revenue for Q2 was 341.7 billion won, marking a 1.2% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit for the quarter was 4.1 billion won, a 30% drop from the previous year.
For the first half of the year, the company's cumulative revenue decreased by 2.2% to 735.3 billion won, while operating profit fell by 40% to 36.5 billion won.
