[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] SEOUL – TikTok has rolled out a suite of new safety and support features aimed at strengthening teen protection and empowering creators, the company announced during an online briefing on July 30 led by Adam Presser, TikTok’s Global Head of Trust and Safety.

TikTok will expand its “Safety Pairing” feature, allowing parents to connect with their teen’s account to:

Receive upload notifications

Review privacy settings

Control download permissions

Get alerts on reported content

Manage blocked users

Parents and teens can also share topics of interest to facilitate conversations about their online experiences.

For creators, TikTok introduced “Creator Care Mode,” which uses AI to automatically filter offensive comments and learn from reporting/deletion patterns to reduce exposure to similar remarks. In live broadcasts, creators can block specific words or emojis in real time.

A new creator chatroom service will enable creators to share behind-the-scenes content, host exclusive Q&As, and send real-time launch alerts. An AI-powered inbox will prioritize important messages and auto-generate responses to frequently asked questions.

TikTok is also rolling out a content pre-check feature that lets creators verify compliance with community guidelines before uploading. A similar tool used in TikTok Shop previously reduced low-quality posts by 27%.

Additionally, TikTok will launch its “Wellbeing Mission” series to help users develop healthier digital habits.

The company stated it is investing USD 2 billion annually (approximately KRW 2.8 trillion) to support its trust and safety initiatives worldwide.
