Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) Appeals Second Trial Verdict on Former Executives, Including Former President Ha Sung-yong

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] The Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) announced on the 18th that it has confirmed that the prosecution has filed an appeal against the second trial ruling against former president Ha Sung-yong and two former executives.

The amount of suspicion is 20.4 billion won, which is 1.25% of equity capital.

Former president Ha, who was put on trial on charges of management irregularities, including accounting fraud and hiring irregularities, was sentenced to two years in prison and three years of probation in the second trial on the 8th, which is heavier than the first trial. All employees were also sentenced to heavier sentences than the first trial.

Korea Aerospace said, "We plan to take action in accordance with due process regarding this case."
