[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] L&F clarified on the establishment of a joint venture (JV) with Mitsubishi Chemical in Japan for cathode materials, stating that "there are currently no specific details confirmed." L&F mentioned through a disclosure related to reports on the JV formation that they are "reviewing long-term and comprehensive entry into the cathode materials business, including the JV with Mitsubishi Chemical."

Although L&F and Mitsubishi Chemical had been pursuing the JV for next-generation cathode materials, discussions have been halted due to significant gaps in contract conditions. The two companies entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for establishing the JV in June last year.

L&F indicated, "We will provide further disclosure when specific details are determined or within the next month."
